Hullo! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas. Mr Robot and I went to visit family in Norfolk, hence I've been a bit quiet. Anyway, we had an ace time, and I was given some great presents, including vintage CDs and steampunk stuff which I shall review as I read and listen to it, in case it's something you might like too.
My best present, however, wasn't a thing: I was asked to be a bridesmaid at my brother's wedding in Las Vegas in 2015. They're planning well ahead as it's not going to be a Nevada quickie, it's going to be a proper wedding, just in Las Vegas as my future sister-in-law has family out there. So, no Elvis, but there will be casinos and shows and so on.
(I said to my mum, "If there are CSI tours, I want to go on one." She replied, "Oh, CSI Miami?" *Facepalm*.)
Anyway, I am very glad to be invited – I'll be 41, so possibly the oldest bridesmaid in town, but have promised to wear any dress I am told to, even if it's a pink meringue. It seems surprisingly hard to find any casinos or hotels with much vintage history as a lot of the city was redeveloped in the 1990s, but I will try to find some, rest assured. I've a couple of years to plan it all.
And a reminder: Victorian detective series Ripper Street starts tomorrow night. I am very much looking forward to that.
